Employer Match

Donor Advised Funds (DAF)

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) acts as a charitable savings account, offering a flexible way to contribute to organizations like H.O.P.E. By funding the account, you benefit from an immediate tax deduction, with the added advantage of tax-free growth on your investment. You can then recommend grants to eligible charities, such as H.O.P.E., at your convenience—whether as a single contribution or through regular donations (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually).


Furthermore, you have the option to allocate your contributions to any of our specific programs. By naming H.O.P.E as a beneficiary of your DAF, you can ensure that your support for our mission endures beyond your lifetime.*

Payroll Deductions

Brokerage and Investment Accounts 

When you donate appreciated securities or mutual funds held for over a year to a qualified charity, you can minimize or even avoid federal capital gains taxes on the transfer. Additionally, you might qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction based on the securities' fair market value at the time of donation. Supporting the H.O.P.E. Partners of Farmington mission through a gift of securities is straightforward—simply instruct your broker to transfer the shares. If you plan to donate in this way, please speak with your financial advisor for the necessary steps.*

Retirement Account

Once you turn 70½, you can donate up to $100,000 per year from your IRA to H.O.P.E. Partners of Farmington through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). This process involves a direct transfer of funds from your IRA trustee to H.O.P.E. Partners of Farmington. By using this method, you can avoid paying income taxes on the donated amount.



Starting at age 72, your QCD donation to H.O.P.E. Partners of Farmington can also count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), allowing you to meet your RMD requirements while avoiding income taxes on the gift. This may also help lower your Medicare premiums and reduce the amount of taxable Social Security benefits.


Please note that charitable gifts from retirement plans to a qualified charity can only be made from an IRA. However, you may be able to roll assets from other types of retirement plans into an IRA and then make a QCD gift to H.O.P.E. Partners of Farmington. Contact your plan administrator to explore this option.
